Education Officer
Rosie joined the Childnet Education team in 2023. She is a qualified teacher with 5 years of experience teaching in KS1 and KS2.
Prior to joining Childnet, Rosie studied Biology at the University of York where she started volunteering in schools. This led to her completing her PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University. While teaching in Primary Schools, Rosie led the subject of computing which provided great insight into the importance of technology for young people. From this role, Rosie has a wealth of experience in how online safety is taught to young people and is passionate about championing their voice.
Outside of work, Rosie enjoys reading and exploring the local area. She grew up as an avid internet user and loves to be inspired by social media.
My top online safety tip:
The internet can be a great place to see what people you know are up to but remember that you are seeing their highlights! Everyone behind the screen has ups and downs, so you are expected to have them too.
