This 2 page leaflet has been created after consultation with the Childnet Youth Advisory Board and Digital Champions.
Designed to provide parents and carers with everything they need to know about the topic of generative AI (genAI), it includes insights on:
- what genAI is and how young people are using it,
- the positives and negatives of genAI as identified by young people,
- strategies young people are already using to manage their experiences online,
- advice for supporting children with genAI and questions to start conversations at home.
This resource can be downloaded and read on a device, or printed.
Many teachers and professionals in schools have told us about how advances in AI technology is a key concern for them. This resource could also be shared by a school (in a printed or digital format) directly to parents and carers to improve their understanding and share advice.
