Safer Internet Day will be on 7th February 2012

24 October 2011

Childnet, as part of the UK Safer Internet Centre, is organising Safer Internet Day in the UK, which is on 7th February 2012.

The theme for the next Safer Internet Day is Connecting Generations with the slogan “Discovering the digital world together safely”.

Get involved and help raise awareness of internet safety for this year’s Safer Internet Day. There are many things you can do, including helping to spread the word about the Day and running activities with children and young people, parents and carers and others in the community.

We are producing packs for schools, which will include quick ideas for teachers, a lesson plan and an assembly, all and these are coming soon and will be available on Childnet’s website as well as on the UK Safer Internet Centre site (see http://www.saferinternet.org.uk/safer-internet-day).
