Safer Internet Day 2017 – Education Packs Launch

We are delighted to announce that the 2017 Safer Internet Day Education Packs have now been launched! Created for Safer Internet Day 2017, the packs are designed to help schools, youth groups, police services, libraries and wider organisations to run activities and facilitate discussions around the positive and safe use of the internet.

Each Education Pack has a complementary SID TV film. These are tailored to suit different age groups;

5-7 year olds

The pack for 5 to 7 year olds includes:

  • A lesson plan
  • An assembly presentation and script
  • Quick activities
  • A quiz
  • A poster to promote Safer Internet Day in your school

7-11 year olds

The pack for 7 to 11 year olds includes:

  • A lesson plan
  • An assembly presentation and accompanying script
  • A play script to use with pupils
  • Quick activities
  • Whole school or community activities
  • A poster to use to promote your Safer Internet Day activities

11-14 year olds

The pack for 11-14 year olds contains:

  • A lesson plan
  • An assembly presentation with a script
  • Quick activities to do with your class
  • Whole school or community activities
  • A poster which you can use to promote your Safer Internet Day plans

14-18 year olds

The pack for 14-18 year olds contains:

  • A lesson plan
  • An assembly presentation and accompanying script
  • Quick activities
  • Whole school or community activities
  • A poster

Parents and carers

The parents and carers pack contains:

  • A presentation and script for you to deliver sessions to parents and carers in your school or community
  • A letter to parents and carers
  • A poster
  • A list of suggested conversation starters
  • A fact sheet

All of the Education packs are free and are available in English and Welsh.
