Net Aware re-launch

23 March 2016

The NSPCC have updated Net Aware, providing up-to-date information for parents about social networks, sites and apps that children use.

The guide, which is aimed at parents and carers of 8 – 12 years olds, is based on over 750 reviews from an O2/NSPCC parent panel and over 1720 young people who reviewed 50 social networks and apps.

The re-launch aims to provide parents with up-to-date information about the sites most commonly used by young people. The NSPCC hope the guides will help parents talk to their children about staying safe on those platforms.

In the coming week the NSPCC will also be launching a Net Aware App, which will be available to download from iTunes and Google Play.
