Moat Farm and Super 8 among winners of Childnet Film Competition

14 July 2022

The Childnet Film Competition 2022 has reached an exciting conclusion, with the finalists and winners announced!

Hundreds of young people from schools and youth groups played their part this year.

As in the 12 previous years of Film Competition, the challenge was to create a film or storyboard that promotes positive use of the internet which can help other young people to stay safe online.

Following the success of this year’s Safer Internet Day, Childnet asked young people to explore the theme of: All fun and games? Exploring respect and relationships online.

Fantastic finalists

Scores of entries were received across the Primary, Secondary and Storyboard categories.

It was over to the esteemed judging panel – including representatives from Disney, BAFTA, the Motion Picture Association, the BBC, British Film Institute, British Board of Film Classification, and the Childnet Digital Leaders Programme – to select their favourites.

The finalists and winners in each category were announced during a live online results event on July 13th, with prizes including DSLR cameras and a range of other filmmaking goodies.
