Online Safety Calendar 2024

If you’re looking to keep track of all the days, events and milestones throughout the academic year this free Online Safety Calendar offers engaging ways to add online safety advice into the school year. Time to get planning!

From September all the way to August, this calendar has all the key awareness days you need to know about, resources you can use to mark them, as well as points in the year that could work to refresh your pupils’ online safety knowledge and test their skills.

Let your pupils take the lead on online safety

Childnet’s Digital Leaders Programme is a is a peer-led online safety programme open to all UK schools and youth settings.

The Childnet Digital Leaders Programme was created by online safety experts and teachers in consultation with young people themselves.

Its interactive, gamified and engaging approach aims to help young people become advocates for the positive and safe use of technology in their educational settings and beyond.

The programme offers a variety of activities, resources, and tools to help young people become Digital Leaders and promote digital literacy and safety among their peers.

ReelLife encourages young people to identify the potential risks of social media, so they can enjoy using online platforms.

ReelLife helps to guide young people through three main types of risk when using social media: sharing personal information, being contacted by others, and receiving posts and stories.

As well as some fun group activities in our printable version of ReelLife, we have an interactive ‘gamified’ version that you can use with learners full of  helpful advice and top tips.
