Digital Leaders 100 – vote for us!

7 April 2016

We are delighted to announce that the Childnet Digital Leaders Programme has been shortlisted for the Digital Leaders 100.

We now join 10 other finalists within the Charity Digital Leader of the Year and we need your vote to help us win!

Delivered by Childnet as part of its work in the UK Safer Internet Centre, our innovative programme harnesses the power of digital to empower young people to champion positive use of technology in their school.

About the Award

The Digital Leaders 100 is a digital leaders programme launched 2013 as a new way to recognise individuals and organisations who demonstrate a pioneering and sustainable approach to digital transformation across the public, private and non-profit sectors.

The Charity Digital Leader of the Year category recognises those who have embraced Digital Transformation. The award is for charities or not-profit organisations who have in the last year demonstrated the transformative power of digital to change themselves or their services to their beneficiaries.

Why we entered?

The Childnet Digital Leaders Programme is the perfect fit. The gamified online learning community provides the young Digital Leaders with a platform that encourages them to progress through training and achievement badges, while the community functions allow them to collaborate and share ideas. As young Digital Leaders have said…

“This type of training is good as it is creative and makes us think” – 15-year-old boy, Durham

“I feel that this was a perfect way to train because it was very interactive” – 13-year-old girl, London

“I feel really inspired now and want to do something myself in my community!” – 16-year-old girl, Lincolnshire

Help us by voting now!

100 organisations have been shortlisted across 10 categories. A public vote is now open to put the 100 names into a final order and these votes are combined with the views of an eminent judge’s panel of 10 leading digital experts from our community.
