Thank you to everyone who entered the Childnet Film Competition!

13 June 2022

More than 300 young people have played starring roles in the Childnet Film Competition 2022!

Entries for the popular competition closed on Wednesday June 8th, with scores of short films and storyboards submitted across the Primary, Secondary and Storyboard categories.

Young people across the UK were invited to create a two minute film or storyboard in response to the competition theme: All fun and games? Exploring respect and relationships online.

Schools and youth groups certainly enjoyed their moments in the spotlight – and they will all receive Film Competition certificates to display and share across their social media channels.

Next, the Film Competition judging panel will meet to shortlist their finalists and pick the winners, which will be announced on Wednesday 13th July 2022.

The judges represent some of the most prestigious organisations in film and television. The Motion Picture Association, BAFTA, British Film Institute, Disney, BBC Own It and British Board of Film Classification are all represented.

And Childnet Digital Champion Lauren also joins the panel this year to help select our 2022 winners. Watch this space for more!

  • There is still time for young people who attend school outside of the UK to join the fun by entering the Childnet Film Competition International category. Entries close on Wednesday 22nd June 2022, with the winners to be announced on Wednesday 27th July 2022.
