On Sunday 2nd August 2015, Tarryn Klotnick will be taking part in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 to raise money for Childnet.
We asked Tarryn a few questions about herself, why she enjoys cycling and why she’s cycling 100 miles for Childnet.

Where do you live?
Kilburn
What do you do for a living?
I work as a clinical social worker in a children’s hospital and through this, I’ve recognised the importance of childnet’s work.
How and when did you start cycling?
I didn’t really cycle until I moved to London! I moved here 6 years ago to travel around Europe and I’ve fallen in love with being in the centre of the world and so I stayed! I definitely did not fall in love with the commute by tube and after a year of being here, cycling became the intervention to my grumpiness and general mysery which stemmed for the claustrophobic tubes. I hesitantly took to my bike and cycle pretty much everywhere; rain, hail or shine! Snow doesn’t put me of either… Except when I literally fall off! I love cycle touring too – find me on a bike and I’m at my happiest! Let’s hope I still feel that way when I can’t feel my toes after 100 miles.
Why you are cycling 100miles for childnet?
Why not? I really think it’s important to educate the children of today, to safely surf the internet, so that our tomorrow is safeguarded. The internet is so powerful, it’s fundamental to our daily function, I want children and parents to have opportunities to learn and know how to make use of it safely.
How is your training going?
Ummmm… I’m on the hunt for a road bike… My commuter hybrid is the perfect work horse for commuting but heavy and not suitable for the race. Next question…
What time are you aiming for?
Aiming to beat the trucks that come collect the slowest riders… Basically… I’m very worried about the ‘race’ aspect, I love cycle touring and when I cycled land’s end to john o’groats three years ago… Let’s just say we didn’t race! I have determination though!
