The Childnet Film Competition finalist’s event is a great opportunity for our finalists to meet each other, watch their films on the big screen at the BFI London, and then find out where they have placed in the competition!
Last year’s finalists’ event took place on Tuesday 3rd July 2018 at the BFI in London and included a private screening of all the films to the finalists and industry guests.
See your film on the big screen
From the hundreds of great films submitted to the Childnet Film Competition, the team here at Childnet have the hard task of shortlisting the top 3 entries in each category. These films are shown at a private screening at the BFI, where our industry judges decide who is taking home 1st, 2nd and 3rd place!
At the event young people are the stars of the show; taking part in a variety of interactive activities and explaining the messages behind their films to the guests.
The private screening is a great opportunity for young people to meet the other finalists, talk to members of industry, and then see the films that they have created on the big screen!
Last year the event was attended by 43 young people and over 40 industry guests.
What did they win?
There were some great prizes up for grabs in the Film Competition 2018. These include film making kits, a DSLR camera, a trophy and more! All of the shortlisted films also receive BBFC accreditation!
